The English countryside is one of the most beautiful places in the world with many aspects that are quite breathtaking as well as absolutely wonderful. This is one of the main reasons the English countryside has been the object of desire and adulation by lots of poets and writers who have waxed eloquent about its many charms and lovely scenes. The English countryside has been widely eulogized as well as observed, depicted in various forms as well as well as in various sensuous forms. The English countryside is quite central to the lives, loves and works of many of these poets as well as authors.
The English countryside is quite a suitable context for various themes some of which are quite recurring in their refrain. Some like the great poet William Wordsworth live in the English countryside which is part of the great English countryside in general and the Lake District in particular. He would walk for miles through the verdant and inimitable English countryside and then get inspired to the point of overflow which means that he would have enough to write about. This is true of not only Wordsworth, but also so many other poets and writers over the years whose love and admiration for the English countryside marks their literary and poetic work.

There are times when you wonder about time as well as its various aspects and interesting facts about it. One of the best places to ponder about time is at the Royal Observatory which is located inside the National Maritime museum in London, which in turn is located in the green and leafy neighborhood of Greenwich. Greenwich, as every school going kid who has studied geography would surely know, is the place in south-east London through which passes the Prime Meridian or the Greenwich Meridian Line which is known across the globe as Longitude 0 degrees. This is that precise place relative to which every other place on the planet is measured.
So if you plan a trip to Greenwich, you would be having the satisfaction of having your foot at the center of the planet which we call home. This can be a heady and also self esteem enhancing feeling. Here you can visit the Onion dome that houses the telescope of the observatory which has a huge 28-inch glass lens. It is amazing that this was built as far back as the 1890’s and weighs 90 kilograms. This has played a stellar role in various kinds of distance measurements as well as timing problem solution much before man could think of conquering space.

There are some places in England that are an eclectic and inimitable mix of beautiful beaches, history and also lip smacking cuisine. This is a potent combination for tourists and visitors to visit this city and have the time of their life enjoying its many attractions. If you get to the River Wear in Sunderland, you will see that the city has indeed reenergized and revitalized itself. The shipyards in the city are now gleaming and glistening and there are quite a few Victorian as well as Georgian buildings that have been refurbished and done up to give it an old world charm that is all so exquisite. But this has been done in a way that the warm and friendly soul of the city has been retained and revisited. The best part of all this is that Sunderland is quite close to wonderful beaches, natural parks and reserves as well as soul uplifting and picturesque scenery and countryside that will take your breath away quite literally.
The River Wear has seen Sunderland developing on its banks from Anglo-Saxon times. The culture, the architecture and the history of the city was shaped by the connection of the city with the sea connected through the River.

Stratford-upon-Avon is one of the best known places in England, because it is known as the place which is most closely associated with William Shakespeare, the best known of all literary legends of the great English language. Stratford-upon-Avon is the ‘sweet Avon’ of Shakespeare and it is a place that is a half timbered black and white study in all things Shakespearean. This is a place that is inextricably linked with the bard of Avon and it is quite true that it is his influence that has caused the place to retain more than half of its Tudor buildings that are quite sturdy and well preserved to this day. It has so many music festivals, theaters and pubs as well as so many actors who may be in or out of work.
One of the Stratford-upon-Avon attractions is the Royal Shakespearean Company or the RSC as it is better known. This is an ensemble company in Stratford-upon-Avon which is in touch with Shakespeare as well as many classic plays by international dramatists and also works by living writers. This is indeed quite a wonderful institution that thrives on peoples’ support as well as contributions to ensure that the legacy of Shakespeare is popularized and also grows.

There are many museums in England that are quite unique, the likes of which you would not have ever seen anywhere else. One of these is undoubtedly the Galleries of Justice Museum which showcases the criminal justice system in England. This is because the annals and history of crime as well as punishment in England is quite shocking. Not only are the crimes grim, but the places where they were interned, tortured and then killed are preserved in the Galleries of Justice Museum. There are many ways in which these are brought to life in the form of actors, guide sheets, light and sound as well as exhibitions, the Galleries of Justice Museum has an avowed objective to enlighten and educate people about the criminal justice system in the UK and how it has progressed over the years.
The Galleries of Justice Museum is the only of its kind museum in all of Europe. The old courthouse as well as the gaol has been well preserved for the benefit of visitors galore. There are also a vast collections of artifacts that are quite spine chilling which related to crime and punishment over the last 3 centuries or so. This is quite unique by itself.

The Star over London is a zeppelin that takes the tourists to the marvelous experience of flying over London.
The airfield is outside London where the hosts of the Star of London take you from Upminster Tube station. The waiting room is a VIP tent where the PRs will leave you on your own to pass the time with a cup of coffee or orange juice. When the zeppelin arrives there from its previous flight, the whole tent turns into an airport. After the security check you come to a room where you are briefed on emergency procedures, and then you board the zeppelin.
The cabin is just like that of a plane complete with air sickness bags and a toilet. The take off is slow. When the airship is actually in flight, you get a peculiar feeling. You get confused because sometimes you think you are in a boat, and sometimes you think you are in a plane. There is a rocking feeling all the time. His is rather uncomfortable but exhilarating. You go up in the air, but not so high that you will miss completely the homely sights of the city life.
In the cabin you are allowed after a time to unfasten your seat belts and move around. It’s a nice and funny experience because people are all the time bumping with each other and saying sorry. The windows are bigger than planes through you are allowed to peep out and take photos of what you see below.
This is not much of a flight experience, but definitely a very funny and enjoyable experience of which your children will not tire of boasting to their friends for days.

Norwich has a rich history about it. this is a city that was the 2nd largest city in all of England but way back in the 11th century. This is a city that is able to effectively straddle the new and the old, the traditional and the modern, if you chance to course through the streets of Norwich, some of the rich history of the city is sure to rub off on you, and you could come back with more than a passing knowledge of how the city has shaped up over the millennium. At the same time, it is heartening to note that there is nothing stuffy or claustrophobic about the city that does boast a vibrant and thriving night life as well as the vivacious culture and many shopping experiences that the city amply affords.
There are many attractions in Norwich which range from the Norwich Cathedral that has a typical Norman style as well as the timber framed house of Elm Hill, not to mention the Octagon Chapel which dates back to the 18th century. The Origins interactive center is a wonderful place to give you an idea of Norwich right from ancient times. There is quite a lot to see and savor in Norwich.
